Why Mineral, and Why Two Strengths
One filter, full spectrum
Zinc oxide covers UVB and the whole UVA range on its own. Most chemical sunscreens need four or five filters to do the same job.
It sits on top
Mineral filters reflect and scatter at the surface. Nothing has to absorb into your skin, which is why this suits reactive skin and children.
Non nano, coated
Larger particles that stay on the surface rather than penetrating, with a coating that keeps the zinc stable and evenly dispersed.
30 or 50, your call
SPF 30 wears lighter with less cast for an office day. SPF 50 is what you want on a beach or a hike. Identical base, so the feel is familiar either way.
results that build over time.
Sunscreen is the one product where the payoff is measured in years, not weeks.
comfortable coverage
Applies without dragging, settles in a couple of minutes, no stinging around the eyes.
tone evens out
Less redness and fewer flare ups if you are prone to them, because most daily irritation is UV related.
the long game
The one skincare habit with the strongest evidence behind it for tone, texture and ageing. Nothing else in the routine comes close.
perfect for
Sunshield belongs on your face every morning, and on a few places you probably forget.
Sensitive and reactive skin
No chemical filters means far less to react to.
Post treatment skin
Retinol, acids or a peel all leave skin needing real protection.
Everyone, every day
Including cloudy days, which is where most cumulative exposure quietly happens.
Pigmentation and melasma
UVA drives pigmentation, and zinc covers UVA properly.
how to use
guide to use Sunshield
Last step in the morning
After moisturiser and serum, before makeup.
Use enough
Two fingers worth for face and neck. Most people use a third of what they need.
Top up outdoors
Every two hours in direct sun, and after swimming or heavy sweating.
everything you need to know.
Here is everything worth knowing about using Sunshield, including how much to use and when to reapply.
How often should I use Sunshield?
Every morning, all year, including cloudy days. UVA levels barely drop in winter.
Will it leave a white cast?
The SPF 30 is close to invisible on most skin tones. The SPF 50 carries more zinc, so on deeper skin tones there is a cast that fades a few minutes after application. That is the honest trade off with mineral filters.
Can I wear makeup over it?
Yes. Let it set for a minute first, then apply foundation with a sponge rather than dragging a brush across it.
Why no chemical filters?
Zinc oxide alone covers the full range, so there is no need for them. It also keeps the formula simple, which is what sensitive skin needs.
Is mineral better than chemical sunscreen?
Neither is better across the board. Mineral suits reactive skin and works the moment you apply it. Chemical filters often feel lighter. The best sunscreen is the one you put on every day.
Is it water resistant?
It holds up to sweat and light water exposure. After swimming, reapply.
Can I use it after a treatment or a peel?
Yes, and you should. Freshly treated skin burns easily. Mineral filters are the gentler choice while skin recovers.
